Symptom Checker

You can find a useful symptom checker plus a huge amount of information, from an alternative/complementary perspective, on common medicines and health conditions on the Healthnotes system, which some of the major health organisations have on their sites. Try the Institute of Optimum Nutrition search, the Solgar site or Holland & Barrett.

For a more orthodox viewpoint, check out the NHS Direct Symptom Checker, NHS Choices or NetDoctor.

There is also a useful online computerised doctor system at Everyday health.com which takes you through questions and makes some recommendations.

Either way, don't forget these are just places to start and are no substitute for seeing your GP. Also make sure to come back and read my take on it!

Hope it helps.

Clinic hours are Mon, Tues and Weds 10am-8pm. Please note: I am not currently taking on new patients, sorry.
